Taking on the TSA
It’s time for some civil disobedience.
Sometime in the next few days I’m going to be heading down to LAX to hand out some literature that details exactly what’s so bad about the naked scanners and the sexual assault groping that is now TSA’s standard practice.
I will naturally report in here as to how this is received, by passengers, TSAholes and airport police. I did speak to an officer on the LAX airport police force who said handing out literature would not be a problem, so I don’t expect to get arrested.
Handing out fliers is hardly the stuff of revolutions, but it’s a start. This is only the beginning of angry travelers mobilizing against TSA’s disgusting, authoritarian practices. We want real, effective security that doesn’t involve us holding our hands over our heads like criminals while a government pervert in a booth stares at our naked bodies.
Stay tuned…
Edit: Here’s the flier in case you want to pass these out at an airport near you. I can’t claim credit – this was the result of a collaboration on FlyerTalk. Many thanks to those who have devoted so much time and energy to this cause.
